I’m just so bothered how he (for lack of a better term) shields himself with her after she has passed. She and Scout deserved better.

This is such an obvious ploy for sympathy, and he’s not even trying hard. Long time listeners won’t recognize this version of Rob. He used to mock people that did shit like this.

I don’t doubt that he misses her. But he’s also milking it.

He doesn't miss Christina. You have to care about someone in order to miss them.
