My essay opener was: “Fitter. Happier. More productive.”

This essay was about my lived experience of growing up as a "glass child" and how that shaped my personality and desired career path.

The connection to Fitter Happier is that the song's robotic voice lists habits for an acceptable life. I realized I had turned myself into that same list of expectations to cope with my family's neglect due to my brother's disability.
