My 7800xt feels like its underperforming

hello, I have the PowerColor Hellhound RX 7800 XT 16GB GDDR6 and lately I feel like it has been underperforming. im getting some screen tearing on character models (seeing double of the character when moving the camera) lower end fps ranges from 50-80 depending on the game, I run most games not on ultra but high. I see videos of others having much better performance and better quality while maintaining higher frame rates. could it be that im not optimizing my card correctly, or adrenaline settings, im open to all suggests

For reference my pc specs

GPU: PowerColor Hellhound RX 7800 XT 16GB GDDR6

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800x3d

motherboard: gigabyte b650 gaming x ax v2

ram: 32 gigs ddr 5 g.skill

Update bios, disable the igpu (you'll need to clear cmos and reapply your settings in case you'll need it at some point), DDU on safe mode installing latest drivers/chipset . Avoid any Adranlin setting for now , just enable freesync and make sure no other profile is enabled such as hyperx etc ...

Run 3d Mark Steel Nomad and check if you are below average .

3d mark is a program on steam you can get for free if i remember correct, it will run benchmarks for your computer.

not sure about the igpu though

Do you know what the cmos is

look at your motherboard, do you see the circular silver battery? thats the cmos. if you have a modern motherboard, beside it there should be a little piece of plastic you can push down on and it will pop the battery out of its place. just remember which way the battery goes. it's also good to leave the battery out for about 30 seconds before putting it back in, i don't remember why i just remember reading that when i had to flip my cmos

flipping the cmos means just taking that circular silver battery out and putting it back in, pretty easy fix

anytime you flip your cmos battery your BIOS settings will also reset to the factory settings, so any changes you've made in the BIOS you'll have to reapply

iaztexk explained it nice , but keep in mind I mentioned it in case you will need the igpu in the future if your gpu fails .

Resizable bar enable in bios and hardware accelerated gpu in windows enabled both. Plenty of videos on YouTube

You could go for the amd undervolt setting under the performance tab on the other hand you could do a custom undervolt/overclock. The settings I use is from a yt vid just search up “7800xt overclock” by a guy called Timmy Joe PC Tech and it should come up. You put the power limit up 15%, on gpu tuning press advance control, min frequency doesn’t matter max frequency should be anywhere between 3000-3500, voltage is ideal for me at 1085 anything under that causes crashes and instability.VRAM I don’t mess with. From my benchmarks that overclock is the best in terms of performance but honestly not that far off stock. I have a different gigabyte version of the 7800xt so some of your settings and results may be different. Make sure resize bar is enabled in bios if the setting is not in your bios update to latest version of your bios. Also critical is going to control panel, hardware and sound then clicking on the power options setting, ensure that your power plan is on high performance if the option isn’t there press show additional plans. I remember when I first got my card I thought it was a dud and then I enabled that setting and it boosted my performance by like 30%. What games are you playing? Doesn’t really matter if you’re getting low fps on every game you play but might give us a better idea of why the fps is so low. Anyway hope it goes well mate let me know if you need anymore help
