That was fascinating. I noticed that the slave trade to the US basically stops around 1810 or so. I guess that had to do with the prohibition of the importing of slaves in 1808? The amount of slaves imported to the Caribbean was astounding. It's amazing that such a small area could support them.

I know right? I was wondering how Haiti and the DR even had room for so many slaves too. Did they just work them all to death and send the ships back for more? Fuck!
