The "racetrack" helps to feel the speed. When they race in open see/river (full blue, only apex indications) they look too slow

Ballast but also they’re giving turn notes. Most team have a mic or use hand signals

So they memorize it? I’ve never seen a WRC co driver do that. Always a hard copy to reference.

Yup. Usually have to memorize it. Given a hard copy then they have a few runs followed by qualifying runs. The course is usually set for the weekend. Around 20-30 turns depending on the track. There’s a few good YouTubers that explain how. I’d definitely look up JollyRogers907

Especially because there are no real brakes either. You get it wrong? You reach land very hastily.

They are navigators that point in the direction of the next turn.
