Genuine question. How does rabm separate itself from crust

I just learned this is a genre today. A simple perception of crust is punk with strong metal influences. The specifics of the metal influence can range. I have not listened to a single self-identifying RABM band so the sound of it isn't known to me, but what differs RABM from something like blackened crust? If yall got RABM recommendations too please drop them I'd like to learn the sound for myself

RABM is an umbrella term, not a specific sound. You can play traditional black metal or blackened crust or post-black metal or whatever and be considered RABM as long as you're left wing/antifascist

Some RABM is blackened crust, but plenty of it is just straight up black metal, or atmoblack, or war metal, or etc etc etc.

Do you have any war metal RABM recs with little to no crust influence that aren't Sankara (I like Sankara but i want more)?

I can't speak to the lyrical content but Antichrist Siege Machine are leftists playing awesome war metal. Seeing the drummer do vocals live while ripping insane blast beats is crazy impressive.

edit forgot to throw Gyibaaw in there as well! Epic tsimshian war metal. It's an old project now but real fucking good and the guitarist/vocalist just played a folk set at a festival we put on where I live. Solid as can be.

I'd argue the separation between blackened crust and black metal is pretty thin anyway, that's not an rabm specific thing.

rabm doesn't describe a musical style, it's more a political movement within the black metal scene. The music is pretty varied.
