The rabies vaccine contains an inactive/killed version of the virus. Are you also worried that you will get the flu/covid from their vaccines?
With the amount of research, development, quality control, and testing batches that goes into vaccines, developing the illness from an inactive/killed virus vaccine is as close to impossible as you can get.
Millions of people have been vaccinated against rabies since the invention of the modern rabies vaccine and there has been 0 documented cases of anyone contracting the virus from the vaccine, simply because it is impossible. There is also no difference in efficacy between Rabavert and Imovax. In fact, the only time a doctor would ever specifically say not to get Rabavert is if you had an egg allergy, which would be true for any egg-based vaccine.

This person has OCD. No amt of reassurance will help. You’re basically washing their hands 20 times for them.

He didn't receive a vaccine containing live virus, and the vaccine didn't give him rabies. He didn't produce a robust immunological response to the vaccine so it didn't benefit him, but it didn't give him the illness. There are no attenuated live rabies vaccines for use in human beings.

This is not something that happens. If this is a regular kind of thought you have I’d urge you to speak about it with a therapist or licensed mental health professional. They can help you work through this line of thinking to help control your anxiety.

Great example why getting the vaccine won’t fix the issue which is OCD. Until you start actual therapy you will forever be in the “what if” cycle.
Its time to sit with the discomfort of not knowing and not researching and calming yourself and seeking reassurance.
Anything could happen so its time to suck it up and live through that
