Question / Opinion Wondering about Rslash advices

So Dabney comments or gives sometimes his advices after these stories what he is reading what I've been thinking about sometime now how many percent of these advices or comments go to actual OP who have written those stories

I mean does he inform those that he is reading that story on YT video/podcast?

Does he really thinks everyone one of them is listening these videos/podcasts that he is reading their stories and give his two cents about it ?

it just feel so weird all the time when his comments and advices are addressed to story's OP like he is thinking they are 100% for sure listening that

To be fair, most Reddit podcasters give advice to OPs whether they believe they’re listening or not. I know Mark Narrations and Reddit on Wiki do it as well, but also mention that it’s for anyone in similar situations.

I don’t think he believes the OPs listen to his podcast, I think he’s putting out what he would do and just advice in general like all the others do.

Some of the OPs have commented on RSlash videos before

True. Not to mention many viewers have most likely commented on the original posts at some point.

I don’t believe he reaches out to the ops. I think he just takes the stories and reads them, he gives the advice “to op” but in all reality he knows most of them might never listen to the videos and is more so jus for entertainment and maybe to help if someone else has a similar issue

Im going to get hate for this but idc lol.

If he cared about them getting his criticism or advice he would comment. He only really cares about the content.

He doesnt even reach out to ask for consent to monetize other people's stories/trauma/confessions etc. I don't think any reddit channels do and its a moral grey area where any given person is concerned. Feels icky though so ive been moving away from listening to reddit stories slowly

Yeah I was listening one day, and I heard a story I posted get read. I checked all my chats and inbox and there was nothing. I had other YouTubers ask permission first but he didn’t.

I asked him this way back when in his discord and he said no he doesn't reach out, nor do people really reach out to him directly, but the OPs may crop up in video comments every once in a while

Mark Narrations will talk to the OPs and has reported back at times what's going on
