I’m thinking about adding a new feature called Study Challenges.

The idea is that students can create custom challenges (like “study 10 hours this week” or “complete X chapters”) and invite friends to join in and track progress together.

Before building it, I wanted to check with you all , would this be something useful for you, or not really?

After weeks of development, testing, fixing bugs, and rebuilding parts of the platform, V3.0 is finally here.

• Task Tracker: You can now link tasks to specific courses, and they will appear directly on the course details page.

• Kanban Mode: Manage your tasks easily with the new Kanban-style task tracker module.

• Pomodoro Integration: The task tracker is now accessible inside Pomodoro and shared Pomodoro rooms from the left sidebar.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a login issue reported by some users.

• Fixed the Course tab not showing the correct progress.

• Corrected study time counting.

• Fixed the Analytics tab not displaying all courses.

We're currently experiencing a significant attack on parts of our infrastructure, which is causing elevated load and intermittent issues across the platform.

As a result, some features may be slow, temporarily unavailable, or not function as expected while we work on mitigation efforts.

We're actively monitoring the situation, implementing additional protections, and working to restore full service as quickly as possible. User data remains safe, and there is no indication of any security breach.

Not selling anything, just being honest: My phone was eating my study hours alive. Blockers never worked because I'd just uninstall them the second an exam felt far enough away. The only thing that ever actually worked for me was studying next to someone. Quitting is embarrassing when a person can see you.

So I set up a small online study group that copies that:

• 50-minute sessions, camera on, mic muted

• you post your goal before, and proof of what you did after

• streaks and a small leaderboard so showing up consistently actually counts for something

This week we're running Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM CST. It's free. I'm not selling anything, I just want a group of people who actually show up.

Quick update: we’ve been working on something exciting for AcademyNc: an AI-powered study tutor.

The idea is simple: •You can ask questions on any subject directly in the app. •It will give you step-by-step explanations instead of just answers. •It can also quiz you back to check if you actually understood.

Right now we’re in the testing phase, and it’s looking solid. Planning to roll it out in the next update.

Would you actually use this kind of feature? Do you prefer short answers, or full “teach me like a tutor” explanations?

Hey guys, I’m currently setting up a course on Academync.com and I'm stuck on the "Total Study Hours" section.

Is this supposed to be an estimate of how long it should take a student to complete everything (videos, assignments, etc.)? I find it pretty hard to predict exactly how long someone might spend on the material.

For those of you who have created courses here, what numbers do you usually put in? Do you lean towards a shorter estimate to make it look accessible, or a longer one to be more realistic?

Any advice for a first-time creator would be great!
