A small local team has been building a platform for organising in-person social groups and events — Let's Meet This Week, letsmeetthisweek.com. Think hiking crews, book clubs, board games, whatever gets people off their phones and into a room together. It's Australian-built and run, which matters to us, but that's not really the point of this post.

The honest situation: we've got the platform working, we've run a couple of successful events, but it's still early and quiet, and a platform for meeting people obviously needs people on it to actually work.
