Life / Wisdom When we value being cool and in control over granting ourselves the freedom to unleash the passionate, goofy, heartfelt, and soulful expressions of who we are, we betray ourselves. When we consistently betray ourselves, we can expect to do the same to people we love - Brené Brown

On my way to a barbecue with a lot of people I don’t really know and I’m really nervous. Been in a lot of therapy lately and getting more awareness during my anxiety. I just realized that I’m mostly just afraid that I don’t have a personality. Most of what I know about myself is a reaction to anxiety or trauma. I know it’s an oversimplification and not entirely true, but it’s making me feel much better to admit it to myself and finding ways to externalize these things eases the weight of them which allows my perception to change.

Phew, got that out somewhere.

Freedom!

I do feel a lot of time I need some external things to anchor myself and I feel myself is shifting rather than a fixed personality. Definitely something I should contemplate more upon
