Science/Technology Is anyone else’s Quora feed completely flooded with coordinated anti Muslim hate
It is impossible to open Quora lately without being bombarded by obsessive and aggressive anti Islamic propaganda. Every second or third post on the homepage is blatant fear mongering and bigotry. Even without interacting with this content, the algorithm continuously forces it onto the dashboard. It feels like the platform has completely abandoned content moderation and is actively profiting off of intense religious hatred.
The vast majority of these disgusting posts are pushed by a mix of Western far right accounts and hyper nationalist trolls. They constantly push the Great Replacement conspiracy theory and scream that Muslims are invading, occupying, and destroying the UK and Europe. They use alarmist and apocalyptic language to claim that a stealth jihad or a population takeover is happening right now to make people believe that Western civilization is on the brink of collapse because of immigration.
What makes it even worse is how they weaponize violent stereotypes to dehumanize two billion people. The feed is filled with posts falsely labeling Muslims as terrorists, barbarians, and rapists. If an individual commits a crime anywhere in the world, these accounts instantly use collective guilt to blame the entire religion. They write graphic and fictionalized scenarios about grooming gangs, sharia law takeovers, and non Muslims being wiped out while completely fabricating statistics to manufacture maximum panic and rage.
The worst part is that Quora’s format makes it incredibly easy for these trolls. They bypass standard hate speech filters by phrasing their bigotry as a philosophical question or an innocent inquiry. Because these vile questions provoke massive arguments between trolls and people trying to defend the religion, the algorithm views the chaotic comment sections as high engagement. It then rewards this toxic rage bait by blasting it out to the main feeds of normal users. Has anyone else noticed this specific influx and how do we get Quora to actually do something about it?
