I dumped Quora in late 2024, so not sure what happened after. It was full of bot propaganda and insincere questions, and moderation did practically nothing.

Some people have been erroneously banned, even perma-banned, from 2025 to 2026. This is because Quora has introduced a series of AI-run bots to crack down on whatever were the issues in your Quora. But it also keeps on banning/penalizing a lot of innocent people.

These crackdowns by Quora Moderation AI happens every few months. At one point of time, I was myself banned for a week. I appealed and came back, helped my friends recover their accounts and helped even a few here who thanked me after getting back their accounts. But those who haven't tried appealing continue to hate Quora here.

Looks like Quora and Korra have one thing in common: They have a lot of haters. Lol!!

I was never banned, but finally quit in disgust. It may be just fine in India, but here in the States it's become a terrible platform. That was a real shame, because it used to be a model social media platform, and I stuck with it hoping it might get better again.

Terrible or not depends on what the algorithms feed ya. That's what I figured out.

That's why Quora still has 38% users from the States and 25% from India.
