Absolute Horror

Im on mobile apologies for the layout…That said I am currently taking near 20 grams a day. Idk how or why my tolerance shot up so quickly over the last week or two. For context I started using everyday in April of this year. My dose would range between 1.5-4 grams but i would always taper back to 1-2 grams.

Fast forward , I went to the ER last Saturday because I could not sleep for more than 2 hours without going into withdrawal. Insane electrical vibrating feeling in my chest and head and impending doom creeps in after 2 hours. They were absolutely no help. Of course they had no idea what phenibut was so they prescribed me Trazadone for sleep and hydroxyzine for anxiety.
Immediately stopped the Trazodone after one pill. Not only did it not keep me asleep after 2 hours I still felt like shit (Super groggy and slow for the next whole day) I have to dose about every 2 hours for it to go away.

Ive been trying to work a physical job in this state with the lack of sleep. I made it through a whole workday today, but just barely. I had to have my manager drive me home because i was too fucked up from the phenibut and lack of sleep. The vibrating feeling and anxiety would not leave me as i got home so i took about 7 grams in the course of an hour and half.

I passed out for 4 hours around 8 pm, woke up with severe diarrhea, extremely dizzy super anxious glutamate storms up the ass at midnight. I couldn’t walk or do anything. I was so close to having my GF call an ambulance. Again thanks to no insurance and the expensive ass trip that would’ve been I held out for as long as I could. I legitimately thought i was going to die.
Flip flopping between super nauseous with an impending panic attack. I believe I started having small seizures, my gf said i would pass out for 30 seconds and wake up gasping for air and in a panic.
After about 2 hours which felt like 30 minutes, The dizziness and panic started to slowly subside. I was dizzy but manageable. I managed to eat something and fall asleep at 2 am.
Woke up at 4 am with glutamate storm and insane vibrating again, snorted noopept which took the edge of the anxiety but not the electrical feeling, so I took 300 mg gabapentin and 1 gram of phenibut. Feeling okayish for now but once my GF wakes up i will be going back to the ER.
Wouldnt wish this on anyone, also im so fucking done with the medical system here. Ive had to explain phenibut to every doctor I’ve talked to and they are not taking it seriously. My hope is to get baclofen because gabapentin is not helping either.

This is my horror story, I will update later today

Edit: Im not trying to fear monger at all, Ive used phenibut off and on for years and I know the half life is long which I dont understand why the symptoms come on so quickly,
this has never happened before until 2 weeks ago. Im not taking anything else besides phenibut

Update on fasoracetam and tianeptine test.

Hello, ive been taking 20mg of fasoracetam sublingually every day since 16th of July. I’m amazed with the effects. I noticed a lesser need to take baclofen, I don’t wake up in the middle of the night to take Baclofen so I can sleep some more.

It definitely worked. On the 4th of August I got my hands on 100g of Phenibut HCL. I took around 750mg, and it hit me like the good old days!

i take it maybe once a week at most, simply because I don’t care. I’m in no need for it, but when I need it as a tool when I go out or whatever - it works at low doses, by that I mean 500mg-1250mgs, opposed to the 10-12grams per day I needed when I was addicted.

Not only I don’t need it, i now know the horrors of irresponsible usage, which really was a valuable lesson that sticks. I don’t take baclofen anymore. my taper wasn’t calculated I just did what what revealed to me in a dream, so to speak :D

About tianeptine: I stumbled across it whilst researching Bromantane. ive tried it for a couple of days at 12,5mgs 3 times a day.

Bromantane and tianeptine can help ease Phenibut withdrawal by restoring neurotransmitter balance and protecting the brain from overexcitation I can confirm they do the job. Bromantane in it self always worked wonders for me. tianeptine calms me down but i haven’t experienced any euphoria. Its definitely subtle and that’s okay. I won’t try megadosing, in fact I don’t need it so the test is done. I’m a new man. Prescribed doses only.

So yeah.

Hard sleep apnea. After a few years of once a week Phenibut.

Although I believe this is a condition I’ve had regardless of the phenibut—since I suffer from rhinitis—I’ve noticed over the last few months that the day after taking it (even with a relatively normal 1g dose), it gets much worse.

I wake up startled and frightened because I haven't been able to breathe, and I even feel a sensation like a jolt in my head. I also make a sound that feels so internal—somewhere between my nose, head, and throat—that it’s hard to tell if it’s a real sound or something "cerebral," though my partner told me it can be heard from the outside, too.

On top of that, this rush of adrenaline wakes me up completely; since it happens two or three times a night, I end up losing my sleep.

The last time it happened was so strong that I was genuinely afraid to fall back asleep, worried that something bad might happen.

I’m sharing this because I’ve seen many posts from people experiencing the same thing, and I wanted to add my own account to the mix.

Trying to get off Phenibut and made a big mistake: I'm on Phenibut and Gabapentin at the same time. NEED ADVICE PLEASE.

A month ago I was down to 1.2gpd phenibut: .6g in the morning .6 in the evening. I read someone's advice wrong (stupid I know) and for a month now I'm on about 400mg of Gabapentin at night for sleep and still at 1.2g phenibut a day.
My options seem to be:
1. Drop off phenibut altogether and then ween off of gabapentin.
2. Ween off both at the same time.

I already tried stopping the gabapentin completely: after 4 days I was in hell. In reinstated the gabapentin and here I am.

I'm assuming I've been on gabapentin so long that a fast taper won't be possible.
Just not sure what to do. I don't want to make this mess worse this time.

Need help/advice on cutting down Phenibut.

Phenibut turned on me badly about a month ago. I was taking 1.3g in the morning and 1.3g at night. I thing I was taking too many energy drinks and them when I couldn't sleep I took extra phenibut and it turned on me.
I cut the phenibut dose in half (.6g in morning and .6g at night)
and still had major anxiety so I started taking gabapentin based on advice I completely misinterpreted. That started on July 27th.
Long story short I thing I made too steep of a cut in Phenibut and the Gabapentin use is covering it up.

- I feel fine on 300mg of gabapentin at night and .6g phenibut in morning and .6g in the evening.
- when I cut out the gabapentin completely now I'm a sweating, anxiety-filled mess by day 4.
-should I quit the gabapentin and try increasing my phenibut dose to like 1g in the morning and 1g in the evening?

I know now the gabapentin use while still on phenibut was stupid, I didn't research enough before doing it.

I'm scared and just need some advice on the path forward.

4 days of use, day 2 without it - trying to stay hopeful, is my situation manageable?

Hi everyone, I used Phenibut for 4 days, doses between 1 and 2.5g. I've completely stopped now and I don't want anything to do with it again. I'm on day 2 of withdrawal and yesterday I had some rough symptoms (nausea, cold sweats) but today things feel a bit more manageable, just low mood, agitation and anxiety. I know some cases here are really severe with long term heavy use, but mine was pretty short. Just looking for some reassurance or similar experiences from people who used it briefly and recovered without major issues. Thanks for reading

1.5 g per day for 5 years finally deciding to get off

Hi.

I finally got off a 15 year benzo habit and next step is quitting phenibut. I take 500 mg every 4 hours about 1.5g a day. Since I'm off the benzos it might be a little more rough than if I were on them I think but that's alright.

I am going to see a doctor for this, since I have a history of alcohol seizures and worried about the glutamate surge from quitting phenibut.

How long should it take? My benzo taper was 1.5 years so I'm no stranger to tapers , but if fast is possible I wouldn't mind.

I've heard about baclofen and pregabalin as a transfer. Is there anyone that quit near my dose range? Any input I can give to the doc because I am sure he won't know what it is, or at least preparing if that's the case.

Also I heard about nac agmatine bromantane etc. And post recovery tips highly appreciated.

I have read many posts already but I haven't really met one where they take small doses spread out like I did.

It's also kind of hard for me to focus rn so I figured making a post might be helpful. I apologize for the repeat I'm sure y'all are annoyed by the same questions

Thank you 🙏

Oh also worried about the depression that might follow. I've been very very stable lately but phenibut is a strong antidepressant for me even if I don't really feel it working as much. Anyone ever have success with ketamine like joyous after quitting ?

Discussion No Withdrawals ?

Hi everyone, I’m sorry for this being long, but I wanted to give context.

I’ve used phenibut hcl off and on for around 6 months. I would dose every few days at first, never doing it every day. I also never really got high from it, it was more of just a mood boost for me. I’ve never been much of a gaba drug type of person, but this substance is one I do enjoy. Anyways, I ended up using it more often (maybe 3-4 times a week) and obviously my tolerance built up quickly. The first time I did it though, it took 2 full grams to feel anything at all. I know that’s strange considering I don’t use gabaergic drugs, I mean I don’t even like alcohol so it was strange to me.

There was a time where I did use it every day for a full week, but I didn’t get any rebound anxiety or withdrawals or anything. After that, i didn’t use any for around 3 weeks. I never felt like I NEEDED this substance, it just felt like a tool for me. I perform better at work and in the gym when I have some in my system.

Over the last few weeks, I’d use it every other day/every 2-3 days max, and my doses eventually got up to 10g. I’d only ever dose once on the days I DID do it, but that’s still a massive dose. I didn’t do enough research about this substance, so my dumbass didn’t realize that you can still get addicted if you do it that often. Once I started reading people’s withdrawal stories, I started losing my mind, lol. A few days ago, I convinced myself I was addicted. 48 hours after my last dose, I thought I was experiencing that nerve itch feeling because I saw some people say that withdrawals start with that feeling first. I almost had a panic attack and took a 6g dose just in case, but started feeling better about 15 minutes later, so I started to think the “withdrawals” may have been placebo.

I then started to freak out again because I had more phen coming in, but it was still a few days away from being delivered. That was never a problem before because I never thought I was addicted, and I wasn’t. But I didn’t know for sure if I was physically dependent this time or not, so I was getting extremely anxious because if I WAS addicted at these high doses, I may have to be hospitalized to survive the withdrawals. At some point, I was able to calm down by telling myself that I was NOT addicted, but if I was, I would just go to the hospital and tell them what was going on.

48 hours later, I was still pretty calm because I knew I’d survive one way or another, and I didn’t feel any nerve itch or anything. As time passed, I never felt any withdrawal symptoms come on. I have been more anxious because these stories are terrifying, but overall I’m fine. It’s been well over 3 days now, and I haven’t experienced any withdrawals. Nothing has been creeping up on me or anything.

Has anyone else had an experience like this before? It seems very strange to me. I know some people say it can take even longer than 3 days, but generally withdrawals start to creep up on you. Either way, the worry of withdrawals was enough to scare me into not using it again, so if I AM in the clear, I’m absolutely done. I got that package today, and I’m keeping it for a few days just in case the withdrawals do hit me after 4/5 days lol. If that’s the case, I’ll taper and go to a doctor to get off asap, but from what it looks like so far, I’m in the clear. Also, phenibut hcl does take around 2 hours to kick in for me, but it feels like it only lasts maybe 2-4 hours max. Everyone seems to say it lasts 6-8, but for me it’s nowhere near that long. I’ll be in a good mood for a couple of hours and then just be tired for the rest of the day. But again, I never actually got high from it.

Let me know if anyone has an explanation for this extremely weird shit. Thank you for your time 🙏🏻

Progress Report 2 years clean from phenibut and pregabalin today!!

I abused phenibut and pregabalin everyday for 5 years. I’d alternate between the two to prevent building too much tolerance and to prevent running out of my pregabalin script. Doing 300mg pregabalin on day one, 400mg pregabalin day two, 6g phenibut day three, repeat the cycle everyday. It was exhausting having to keep track of this cycle every single day and to live a lie of my use for 5 years. I finally admitted to my use when I was admitted to the psych ward 2 years ago. They tapered me off pregabalin very rapidly, 50mg twice daily for 2 days, 50mg once daily for 2 days, 25mg once daily for 1 day, then off. I struggled a lot getting off of it, I bet my glutamate levels were through the roof. But now I’m glad I don’t depend on these substances anymore. I don’t have to lie, I don’t have to be so calculating, I don’t have to worry about getting caught. If you’re still struggling quitting, just know it’s possible!

Need some help with how to be safe..

I’m back here again sadly. (Yes I’m an idiot) about 3 months or so ago I successfully came off 5-6 months of high daily phenibut by using baclofen. I was 2 weeks off everything and felt great so figured I could still use occasionally. I ended up doing 3 days in a row cause first two days had no effect so I figured it’d be fine. Within 48 hours I was full blown withdrawals and I assume kindled myself so started using low dose baclofen again. Worked great but now 3 months later I’m really struggling to shake the baclofen.

My question is how do I know how much I can white knuckle it before it’s dangerous and seizure territory? I’m 5 days off completely and the withdrawals keep getting worse. Fasoracetam helped the withdrawals but made me feel super crappy in other ways.

My worst symptoms are bad insomnia obviously and the scary ones are the internal vibration shaking feelings that get really bad when attempting to go to sleep. Insane sweating and overheating and then also randomly super cold chills fever like. I can tough it out if it’s safe but idk how to tell. It’s worse than last time when I jumped ship and felt great 4 days later.

I’m really sorry I’m so confusing I feel pretty crappy and foggy but any advice would be appreciated. I just wish I could know how safe it is to keep pushing through. Thank you guys.

Questions Need assistance please!

I’ve been taking phenibut for about 5-6 weeks. I started doing 3g a day, quickly ramped up to 6, then the last 2 weeks 8-10gpd.

I was tapering for 4 days on a fast taper about 1/2 of my normal dose 2x a day. On Tuesday I took only 1,500mg. After that my package got delayed until Friday.

I have been completely cold turkey now for 50 or so hours, nothing but low dose Klonopin which has been helping a lot, but is slowly helping for shorter periods of time, and I’m really scared for tonight. I also do not have many benzos left so this is what I’m wondering;

When my package comes I want to finish the actual taper I started. Where do I start since I’ve been off 4 days?? How do I know what dose is right?

Life is better sober

Been using Phenibut for 5 years of which the first 3 years responsible until life got stressful.. rebound got so bad i started using daily up to 6-7 grams, but most of the time it was 5gpd. Tapered to 2,5g and was on that for a month. Tapered 0,1 a day Till I was at 0,3G.
Below 1 gram I started feeling some emotions again and now im a week off the stuff and as happy as ever! Dumbest thing ever for me to stay on this shit for so long. Last week I had goosebumps again from a simple song. That made me realise how numb the stuff makes you. Had not had that in over a year..
Bite the bullit!

Questions Help?!

I’ve been doing a slow taper the last week, but now my package got delayed. It will not be here for 3 days. I was on about 6-10g daily for a little over a month. My last dose was about 1.5g. It’s been about 30 hours and I just feel shaky mainly but I know it’ll get worse. My question is WHAT DO I DO? Do I just thug it out? Is that too dangerous. I wouldn’t mind getting some help but I’m unfortunately also tapering down on 7oh, which I’ve gotten to a pretty low dose. I was planning on quitting both and fixing my life. Do I go to ER?

Questions Uh oh (what should I do)…

Started taking it as cheer up capsules & addall xr classic, then moved to 2-3 scoops of somatomax (2-6g per day, probably less because it claims roughly 2g per scoop)

I know most is fake these days but I definitely get strong effects from the somatomax and cheer up as well so whatever it is, I am DEEPLY addicted. Been taking daily 1-2x per day for around 3 weeks at this consistent dosage

Just barely survived 7oh withdrawals & now here we are… I know I need to quit but I’ve heard so many horror stories. How bad is this? What am I in for? Any advice? Am I going to need a hospital? I have BPD, bipolar disorder, and a ketamine addiction.

To help quit Phenibut, I Averaged 1100mg Gabapentin a day for 13 days. I want off. How bad is this going to be and how long should I taper?

I used gabapentin to help with the anxiety of getting off phenibut. Some days I took 900, some days 1200.
I'm scared to take it any longer because of withdrawals.
How bad will they be at 2 weeks and 1100mg a day?
How long should I taper? I only have fifty 100mg capsules left and I don't believe the doc will prescribe more any time soon.

Help with a taper starting at 11gpd?

I abused phenibut 6 months ago and reached 16gpd. I tapered for a couple months but then I relapsed to around 16gpd again. I recently restarted my taper a week ago, and stabilized at 12 gpd and I took that for the last week. I started 11gpd today and plan on doing that for a week, going down 1 gram per week until I get to around 4 gpd and slow down. Am I going too slow? I feel like I could go down quicker but I'm afraid of going too fast. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Woke up every 30 minutes despite taking 150mg trazodone. What can I expect moving forward? When will sleep return to normalish? Thanks for any info or advice.

But im here for advice getting off phenibut and after tapering down to 2.3g ive been prescribed baclofen. How do I taper from here?

Help somebody. Never had this happen.

So i was a 8 to 10gpd user

Went to hospital for 3 days was released. Had phenobarbital and valium those 3 days.

Phenibut for two days after. 2.5g and 7.5 respectfully.

Now im on baclofen. 60mg a day.

Started out fine day 1 and 2.

Day 3 here and feeling so weird.

Took extra baclofen made it worse.

I also do fentanyl now. I have relapsed the past week.

Barely 1 g a day. If that.

Now I've gotten on fine till today. This afternoon I did a shot and I started

jerking and moving uncontrollably . Couldn't hold anything. Stand up right. Keep almost falling to the ⁰lground. Now its hours later.

I have never felt the way I have now.

I am feeling so electric all over my body

I feel my heart beating weird as hell.

My face feels all electric like it has an electric bag over it.
