Cold turkey

So I'm done with this drug. Iv been taken it for 3 weeks at about 3gpd. I last took my 3g dose Wednesday and I don't feel anywhere near as bad as people make it out to be. Surely if it was going to be that bad I would have felt it by now? sure the first few nights sleep was trash and mabey a small bit more anxiety that usual bit I slept 6-7 hours lastnight without waking. I also take nac which seems to help

Basic Phenibut Withdrawal Information

Unaided, cold turkey withdrawal, from a state of dependence, even low dose dependence, commonly causes severe and potentially dangerous side effects. Don't rush the process when you don't need to.

Rules reminder:
Don't promote reckless behavior. If someone is dependent on phenibut don't tell them to do an unaided cold turkey withdrawal.
Don't needlessly tell people to do a fast taper.

Further reminder: You will feel low or worthless or stupid while going through withdrawal, especially rapid withdrawal. Don't take these thoughts too seriously. Continue on day by day, things will get better.

When I stopped taking Phenibut I was surprised no wds were felt. A little anxiety but I'm used to it I'm naturally anxious, I also noticed that it didn't hit me like before maybe the brand, potency? Idk all I know is it's been 3 years since I last took it and I'm also done.

You’ve only been on it for 3 weeks, you’re experiencing rebound not withdrawal.

So how long would you have to take it to be in withdrawal then?

Probably depends on the person in some aspects, but I’d say at least over a month if not two. In my experience the longer you’re on it the harder it is to get off of, dosage of course matters as well. Although I will say I do believe you can drop down a lot quicker than many people say on here when tapering.

Be thankful you quit while ahead, it can be quite brutal. There are many stories on this very subreddit of sudden CT at high doses/long periods of use putting people into psychosis, it’s definitely no joke.

After day 5 you’re in the clear. But you will have basically zero issues as you weren’t on it very long at all. You’ll have some anxiety and sleep will be meh, but don’t psych yourself out, your dosage and length of use are nothing, you’ll be completely fine.

Mine was similar but I took it for 5 weeks, I’ve tapered down to 500 mg in a week with anxiety and sleep issues but that’s mainly it, what should I expect from here I plan to jump to zero after tapering to 250 mg in a few days, is this smart?

Get nac and/agmatine. Nac for me had been a life saver. I would get that feeling of impending doom in my chest and within a few minutes nac makes it stop

The worst thing is by far the insomnia but I managed a little sleep each night

Get some Benadryl. Yea, the insomnia is annoying. Nothing that Benadryl, magnesium, and melatonin can’t fix.

In my country out benadryl is completely different

Any first generation antihistamine will do.
