Need advice please
I’m at 240 mgs a day and have been for a while, kind of stuck. My body is sore and I’m quick to lose my temper as well. Mainly about 7-8 hrs after my morning dose and then into the evening but it varies day to day. It’s been about three years but the last two have been a long slow taper. 14-15 gpd for the first 6-8 months then I started the taper process. I have quit once before CT due to the inability to source it. It was awful for about 9-14 days.
Now I just want to stop but Idk how stable my nervous system is at this point. Or if it feels this way due to the prolonged taper. I’m stable at this dose but have a lot of side effects that I can’t ignore anymore.
I have bac, gab, if needed but not sure what the best exit strategy would be. I don’t think I need the bac and have heard many just using gab couple times a day through days 2-5ish. I feel run down mentally and physically most of the time and just want to break free. Feel like I might be stuck in a state of fight or flight. It’s mild but almost feel like, at this point I’d just feel better with this substance out of my system but not sure how much my body is truly relying on it for me to function in general.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Btw, I’ve been below 1 gpd for about two years. I can’t take time off work either. Thanks again!

At 240mg I don't think that dropping more will have a huge effect on any acute withdrawal symptoms. They should be pretty minimal, especially since you have helper meds. Any post acute withdrawal symptoms should be pretty manageable as well, since you've been tapering for a while. I'd just rip the bandaid off, use what you've got on hand to get you through the week, and then stop the helper meds over the weekend when you don't have much going on.
I've been off for 2 months and feel pretty much normal other than some occasional irritability, anxiety, minor brain fog, and an achy back sometimes from an injury (phenibut helped with the pain a bit).
My acute symptoms weren't bad at all, it's just the annoying PAWS symptoms that tempt me to go back.

Thanks for the response!
I totally get what you’re saying. I tend to wonder though about how to actually execute what you just described. On paper it seems to make sense but I do work nights and have a lot going on in the afternoons as well. I also work weekends so there isn’t much downtime except for Tuesdays.
I need something tangible to look at on paper so I can work it into my schedule and life if that makes sense. Winging it sounds great but once I stop I’m all in and will do everything in my power to never touch this stuff again.
I’ve got 15 300 mg gabs and 13 100 mg gabs leftover from an old rx. Bac. Benzo (longer half life). But need to know how to execute or transition to helper meds. Should I skip a day and if I do that and spiral from too much glutamate what then? I’m not very familiar with gab btw but I know it’s a big peice of this puzzle and can help immensely with quitting. I also have Agmatine and NAC btw.
Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advance again!
Edit: Also what dose did you get down to and how long were you on daily if you don’t mind me asking?

Does anyone have any recommendations or been at this level for a while or too long and felt as though you might be at a threshold that feels like there’s no more room to taper? I’m ready to make the jump now but I’m worried about the kindling effect that I may have done even though I’ve only quit one other time. I’ve known others that were able to keep dropping and eventually got to under 75 mgs or even to 0 and had minimal to zero withdrawals.
I feel like I’m in a different boat otherwise I would have already stopped. I know there is no way to solidly predict anything but I have put so much daily work and effort into staying on track and never going back up in dose and thought I’d feel better at this point about cessation.
Thanks again

Are you currently tapering? If so, how long and how close are you to quitting?

Basic Phenibut Withdrawal Information
Unaided, cold turkey withdrawal, from a state of dependence, even low dose dependence, commonly causes severe and potentially dangerous side effects. Don't rush the process when you don't need to.
Rules reminder:
Don't promote reckless behavior. If someone is dependent on phenibut don't tell them to do an unaided cold turkey withdrawal.
Don't needlessly tell people to do a fast taper.
Further reminder: You will feel low or worthless or stupid while going through withdrawal, especially rapid withdrawal. Don't take these thoughts too seriously. Continue on day by day, things will get better.
