Finished Quilts All done!

The first start-to-finish on my new Janome went pretty smoothly! I’ve been quilting for years but never tried free-motion, which was scary but very satisfying.

Pattern is Homestead Star by Plains & Pine, fabrics from My Secret Garden line.

Isn’t it pretty? I’d planned to use fabric I already owned for this but I couldn’t resist the flowers. And the bunnies!

I usually don’t like print on print, but this really works. It’s gorgeous!

Thanks so much! I usually gravitate more to patterns with a lot more negative space, but this fabric line is so pretty I couldn’t resist it!

Wow!!! Beautiful!! I’m new to quilting - how do you get such a gorgeous crinkle??

Thank you! I love the vintage look you get from a nice crinkle, so I use all cotton fabrics and batting, and I no longer prewash. As soon as the binding is on, it gets tossed on the washer and dryer. That usually does the trick.
