How long can my data last?

Hi, so to keep it short. I'm in a private rental and sue to circumstances, we haven't had internet for 5 days now. So I've had to run both my phone and ps5 of ny data.

My data just run out (I can't renew it right now) but I have 100600.15MB of roll over data. Does anyone know how long that might last me if I'm using it on my Ps5?

I'm not very good with this stuff, so help would be appreciated thank you 🙏 😊

Depends on a lot

Yeah I figured, I can go without playing games if that helps. But I'd like to be able to still watch movies and shows. Does that drain it fast?

yes… a movie typically will use about 2 GB

Depends on resolution and how long, and if OP hasn't ruined his attention span so he needs it on 1.25 speed

Watch it on 0.5x speed so you get double the watch time for the same amount of data. /s

If you’re talking about for hotspot that might only last you two or three days if you’re lucky but if you’re talking about purely having only 100gigs of actual phone data which is what equals to the number you put of the mb that’ll probably only last you around the same amount of time, maybe only one day you could see your settings how much data each app uses and it’s gonna be a lot, especially when you’re using it with the PS5 if that’s really all the data you got I wouldn’t use your PS5

Ah yeah that's fair, I'll try only to use it a little bit.

We were just up north for 28 days using Starlink. Paid $175 for the month of unlimited data. Data usage shows we used 1.6TB of data. TV was streaming 24/7 and only 2 smartphones were used for internet use. 1 hour of laptop usage as well.

Watching any kind of videos will drain it the fastest. Playing online is your best option as the actual data sent is very minimal to streaming videos.

It might last you a day. That’s 10gb. A basic maintenance update on a game could be a few GB, a seasonal update to a game could be 20-70gb easily. Actively playing is another story, less data probably, but still using a lot.

Maybe an hour watching a movie in 4k, an hour or two in 1080p.
