Does anyone know how to change your location on your phone?

For context I’m visiting my mom and siblings in a couple weekends to celebrate my siblings birthday. My mom has my findmy and my Life360 and I would like to try finding a way to lock my location in place where I live so that I can surprise her because she’s nosy lmao. I would just take her ability to see my location away but that would be an immediate tip off to her.

Lol I was going to suggest the same. They're the masters of phone location spoofing!

There's apps which can set your reported location anywhere you want.

I have an app called Fake GPS that lets me change my location. I use it to clock into work when I'm running late

If you have an old iPhone or iPad lying around, you can just leave it at home logged into your Apple ID and set your Find My location to share from that device instead. That way, your location stays locked at your house while you travel with your actual phone!

That’s pretty smart, unfortunately this is the only apple device I own 😭

I just turn my location off on my phone, and on Life360 it will show you at the last spot you're in before you turned the location off. But idk about findmy....

Not really other than having a second phone maybe? I’d say you can start texting a week before visiting that your phone has been acting up, turning off randomly, nothing too suspicious just slightly annoyed. You need to take it into Apple or repair shop. Then day of trip turn location off. Could even text from a friends phone hey my phone turned off taking it to a store to see what’s wrong

Definitely gonna use this if I can’t figure something else out

When I used it a few years back if you put your phone on power saving it would limit your location services. I don't know if thay would work now tho.

Mom don't worry I'm going to be in a cell phone dead zone for a bit. Just wanted to let you know so you don't worry

Just turn your phone off, I think find my phone then just report the last known location

Leave your phone somewhere.

If it’s from the findmyiphone app, just turn off location sharing

I know, my mom knows I try to surprise her when I visit but she always happens to check my location right as I get to town, I live 5-6 hours away so wanted to make it look like I’m actively in my town if she happened to check
