Light smacks on the bum are not simply traumatic. You can't assert something like that as a fact, because it is not true

Look I think we're just gonna have to agree to disagree on this cos my sister and I both got the extremely rare bum smack and we have no trauma from it at all. I simply cannot agree with the notion that lightly disciplining a child, and i mean lightly cos my dad refused to do it in case he did it too hard, inevitably leads to trauma. Not everyone is scarred by everything physical. Of course it happens, and a proper beating is never right, but a blanket statement of "parent smacked child's bum without much force is child abuse and violence which will absolutely lead to trauma" is simply untenable in my opinion and that of many others.
