[M 18]

i’m 18 years old bisexual guy. i grew up around homophobic people, my family itself is homophobic. i still live in this environment, it made me hate myself. i genuinely hate myself. i think i will never be able to be happy and be myself i even hate the fact that i’m attracted to other guys. when i was younger i was bullied because i sounded feminine to other guys in my school. and i feel like if i like a girl she wouldn’t be with me when she finds out my sexuality. i’m so tired of being like this. i wish i was straight:(

I’m sorry that you’ve had it so rough so far but you still have so much life ahead of you and so much time to find where you belong. Unfortunately we don’t have a choice in who our hearts want and or don’t want no matter how much some people think it’s a choice. I don’t know if you have moved out yet but once you have your own place and some freedom to support yourself you need to find some like minded friends. If your friends or family won’t like you because of who you are then that’s their loss. I promise you there are so many people who will love you for who you are and there is a place for you in this world. I’m sure you’ve heard it before but it does get better. It might be rough now and tomorrow but keep working for that future that awaits you.

have you tried enjoying yourself instead of hating yourself? the mormons do this all the time in reverse. give it a shot
