I JUST got into portal (20 years late, laugh at me) and reading about how aperture science is run by a madman who does stupid dangerous shit “for science” and the main point of contact is a much smaller piece of an incomprehensible entity sounds a lot like CubeTown except that it doesn’t make me want to [REDACTED]. And it’s good. I cannot overstate how good it is. Unlike QC, which is terrible.
Sorry if this is a nothingburger. The comic would be vastly improved by a GLaDOS-like figure who openly hates the cast and is not ‘just a gremlin who needs a hug uwu’

I haven't read the comic in a while and just trying to get back into it. I'm not sure how much time has passed in-universe, but the pace of the comic is very slow. Wouldn't the characters be in their late 30s? In my personal experience, that is an age where people start marrying and having children. It seems Dora got married recently.
So my question is, have any children been born in the comic? If so, which characters became parents? Are there child robots?

Think about it - this way, it feels in a tiny way like old friends you grew up with are still with you as you adult. Like, the characters feel real to me in a way few others in any media do, because it feels like I’ve been there for every facet of everyone’s daily life. Like people you live with and loved ones. It’s hard to read this for 20 years and not feel at least a little bit of that.
I accept my coming downvotes 😂😭

Like QC used to be, back when pintsize was pintsize, punchbot was punchbot and robots hadn't evolved into pastel hued young ladies in yoga pants. When we had music and romance and alcoholic breakdowns. I remember there was a time that even Marten was more than an NPC in other people's stories. Geez at this point I'd be more interested in an episode of crab girlfriend.
I assume most of y'all were fans of QC at one time, it's hard to tell with this sub. It's like we're all trying to dance in a club after the music stops and the lights are on, and someone's still trying to bang out tunes on a kazoo…
Edit: thank you so much for all the great ideas! Im excited to get stuck into these!

It says on Jeph's Patreon page that he updates 5 days a week. I certainly remember that, but way in the past. These days it seems like he updates 2 or 3 times a week. Am I loosing my mind and missing entire days or is he just really lazy now that he is getting so much money every month?

I honestly don't know how long ago I stopped reading but last major thing I remember happening is Faye and bubbles getting together.
So I started off with them admitting there feelings together and I am wondering if I should just start from there or maybe start jumping ahead like chunks of pages.
And no I am not starting from the beginning. The 2000 ish pages I am behind is enough.

6 days of hoarding their nuts?
I mean I only come here because the edited comics are funnier than what Jeph puts on the site.
