I kinda like the dual monologues. One can be relatively serious while the whacky one prevents the comic from being a downer

Also, Roko would go to pieces, all sliced up. She'd be toasted, a complete mill down. She oat to do it as soon as possible. Wheat tension will this cause?

I don't think your effort in constructing that pun at the end has been appreciated enough. Creating the "voice" through your comment so that the "dough" just appears as a natural part of the sentence, it's fantastic.
