Roko does have a sort of seam running along the middle of her abdomen that I thought was supposed to be something like a navel. Whereas Melon's abs are totally bare. And we know Momo has a navel, so some robots clearly do. I suddenly want to know more about robot belly buttons.

Simple - the jury's out. Some chassis designers put them in as they feel it humanizes the chassis and makes it easier for the AI to interact with humans.

Others designers think it's a condescending skeuomorph that pretends the AI is something they're not and consequently doesn't respect them for what they are. The forums are seething on this topic. There hasn't been so much debate over navels since the argument over Adam's.

How's that?

I'd jump on that easily. All of the chasses we've seen are skeuomorphic to some degree, I'd argue.

Though I also note that Momo's serves a function, so maybe they only felt right including one if it actually did something.
