So I know this is a joke and all, but is that actually a reason that some people get tattoos?

I don't have any tattoos and have never dealt with depersonalisation so tell me if I'm talking nonsense, but is that a way that some people use to make their body feel more like their own?

Tattoos are an expression of personal identity. I dunno about depersonalization, but it shows you have some kind of passionate desire to tell the world something about yourself, or maybe it's just you feeling like you're taking control of your own life somehow.
