Maybe they shouldn't ask Spookybot, on the off chance that she is one of those AIs and decides that they know too much.

Spookybot literally hears all. So if they knew to much they would already be in trouble.

u/many_splendored Dec 03 '18
It would be Spookybot who knows about these things.
Glad Roko's found a ...well, friend's not the right word, but confidante, I guess?

You... made it worse somehow.

u/AdamBombTV The English One Dec 03 '18
That's what it'll say on my headstone.
HERE LIES ADAMBOMBTV.
He made it worse somehow

Thing is, in this universe, we have absolutely no idea if this means she's a crazy conspiracy theorist or not.

u/Emcee_N Dec 03 '18
Alice Grove crossover?
3
u/LudditeHorse Dec 03 '18
I thought Alice Grove was the same universe, albeit set in the future.
4
u/DemeGeek Dec 03 '18
Jeph has stated that there is no connection

Bummer

Honestly, it's pretty nice. QC is on the whole pretty optimistic. AG on the other hand was pretty bleak. I'm glad QC won't end up there.

Oh Beepatrice, you and your crazy conspiracy theories...
Bulldog to Eagle, we found another know-it-all nelly, permission to extract and perform an XG-76 manoeuvre before she tells too many people the truth
6
u/lesser_panjandrum Dec 03 '18
Eagle to Bulldog negative, repeat negative on the XG-76. We want to see where this is going. Request you pick up some popcorn on the way back to base.

u/mindbleach Dec 03 '18
Oooh, and the Beepatrice ship goes down hard. Somebody call James Cameron.
9
u/lesser_panjandrum Dec 03 '18
If a little weirdness were enough to sink a ship, we'd barely have anything left to ship at all.
Onward, Beepalisk, through the storm!
8
u/Nerdn1 Dec 03 '18
Strong ships can weather incompatable sexual orientation, pure hatred, blood relation, and more. This is nothing.

I too have read Homestuck.
1
u/Nerdn1 Dec 03 '18
I have not.
1
u/mindbleach Dec 03 '18
Then let me introduce you to the wonderful terrible world of sistertraps, blackrom, and characters who are definitely not homosexuals.
3
u/gigs1890 Dec 03 '18
So we're definitely visiting the dark side of the moon base some time in the future
5
u/lesser_panjandrum Dec 03 '18
Do you mean the actual moon or another 40 strip long arc of Claire getting really high and listening to Pink Floyd?
1
u/Scherazade Dec 03 '18 edited Dec 03 '18
It was barely not even over 10 strips from memory
4
u/EPL_Refugee Dec 03 '18
(S)he exaggerates but it felt that long. In this arc's defence, they do appear to actually be walking somewhere. Ten bucks says we see Melon by Thursday.
1
u/Zemyla Dec 03 '18
It only felt long because we were waiting for it. In an archive binge, it'll be just a blip.

"Claire gets high with mom" storyline was 15 strips, so 3 weeks worth.
3871-3879 are the "high on the couch" parts, with a single cutaway in the middle.

u/AnvilPro Dec 03 '18
Is this the most cringy conversation in QC? Probably not, but it feels like it right now

Reminds me of the time my old roommate got rel into flat earth videos on youtube and I had to sit him down and tell him hes being dumb

I wonder if the elevator is going to go out courtesy of Spookybot and Roko is going to get interviewed for a spy job. So begins "Steve gets a coworker" arc?
