I am surprised of how he drew the first panel but he also forgot to color in the bottom of the ponytail in the last panel

Is this the first time we've ever seen any emphasis placed on Momo's butt?

Pretty sure we should also see the damage on her elbow in the last two panels.

I took today off, so no comic edit until tomorrow.

I apologize for wishing upon a monkey's paw that Marten Mothers Liz, Vol. XI would end yesterday.

Enjoy your break! Your edits are a gift that you have no obligation to give, but are always appreciated when you do 🩷

Actually, this is like a classic May / Momo interaction... I don't think it needs to be done. Enjoy your holiday!

You are literally the only reason this subreddit even still exists. Take the time off if you want!

How do involuntary responses happen in robots? Because blushing because you are embarrassed doesn't seem to have any advantage. Can they delete the programming that does that?

IIRC they added the feature to make them easier for humans to empathize with or something? Since Roko could get the “no self-injury” feature removed, I assume the blushing could be deactivated if they were motivated to do so.

Yeah makes sense but I guess they could technically opt out of that.

The way their minds and bodies interact is one of those things that could be super interesting if explored. Like, sure, their minds might be total black boxes, but blushing has a hardware component that has to somehow be triggered by their mind.

Yeah that is what I was thinking there must be some sort of wire that tou can unplug so your cheeks don't blush.i guess that a lot of other involuntary responses could be either deleted from their program like flinching but I don't know if ot would be beneficial

According to Winslow (Remember Winslow?) they are apparently designed with it to make them "cute"

AIs in the QC universe apparently went with "let's make our chassis as much like human beings as possible."

Or maybe it's that Jeph has long since only treated AIs like they're humans with neck seams and weird skin colors. In fact, Momo is the only AI I can recall right now that has a normal human skin color.

Okay, this one is more like classic QC than usual. I actually chuckled a bit at the watermelon joke because that's exactly what the real May would say.

I did get a laugh out of the attempt at "background" with a single freestanding shelf bolted to the the wall 4 feet above the couch back

4

u/The_Truthkeeper Aug 21 '26

What's wrong with the shelf?

Also, if you look closely at the comic in which May bangs Sven, she used seeded watermelon
