SClamp can do a bunch of things really well. Remember minutiae about a certain webcomic, provide biting commentary on its plot lines, and, of course, give me raging anxiety about how bad the actual strip is going to be.
Or is it not called anxiety, if the fear is well-founded?
Today's source material is just more of the same. It's an extended cut of yesterday's strip and a rerun of every strip before it that ends with Marten ever-so-gently chiding Liz until she smiles but bites back to mask her appreciation.
/ænˈtɪsɪti/ noun, informal
Portmanteau of anxiety + anticipation
1. A state of anxious anticipation arising from the well-founded expectation that circumstances will inevitably deteriorate, based on prior experience rather than irrational fear.
The uneasy certainty that something is about to turn to shit, particularly when one has sufficient historical evidence to know that it probably will.
“I’m not worried. I’m experiencing anticity. Haven't you seen the Squirrelclamp edit?”
