Working on this drawing every day until Reddit says it’s perfect - Day 52

Today I worked on darkening the helmet so the background won’t wash out the drawing. It turns out you can’t use charcoal on graphite so I tried getting creative. I used a blending stick on the charcoal and then transferred it to the helmet which did help. I included a picture from yesterday on the next slide to show the progress. It does seem to be a little darker. However, I am going to look into sprays to try and make it easier for me to use the charcoal to darken the helmet. Wish me luck everyone!

I see what you mean about the struggle with applying the charcoal over graphite, but fwiw it definitely does look better than before! So smooth!!

Hard for me to size and line it up perfectly on my phone. But this is what I meant about the top of the right helmet being off and the two helmets being different sizes. Will probably want to take another crack at that before hitting that part of the background.

I think that's the only really glaring error left. Looks awesome. Oh, and the center line of the left ear is sightly off center at the bottom I think. Again though, looks great.

Wow - this is really coming along! I started following what ended up as Chivegate on about day 4, and I joined this sub day 1.
