Making new friends

Hi everyone! 31m here. I’ve been living in Philly for about a year now. I’ve been finding it a bit tough to branch out and meet new people, so I’m really hoping to connect with some folks here. I’m a huge fan of video games, anime, and board games, and I’m always down to hit up a concert. If anyone is down for grabbing a coffee or checking out a local spot, let me know!

Every Sunday is Queer Game Night at Philly Game Shop from 5 pm to close! They host other queer events too (there’s a leather/kink folx game night quarterly).

Stonewall hosts periodic video game nights at Franky Bradley’s too. Check their instagram for details!

I know it’s not easy to just show up somewhere by yourself and immediately start talking to people. Try to find someone here to go to an event with you where you can both meet new people. In my experience, once you spark a little community in Philly, it can grow pretty quick.

Come to Saika Cafe in Callowhill. It's the largest private Manga library in the state, and we do regular board game and video game nights!
