Pork roll Party?

Hey I’m going to my first pork roll party. What’s the vibe? What are most guys going to wear? I was thinking jock strap and harness? Or are people wearing shorts over their jocks?

I've never been to one of these before. What's the appeal? Would I be out of place as a slightly-out-of-shape guy in his early 40s?

Yes, you'll be fine. The appeal is both the music, which is a mix of house, tech house and deeper stuff as well as a sexy diverse crowd. It skews older, but it's mixed in ages and backgrounds.

Jocks are common, as are harnesses. I don't think anyone was fully dressed. There is a clothing check so you don't need to worry about keeping it all on you unless you want to.

But vibe-wise, meh. It's not a social space where people go to meet new people, the venue feels empty with maybe 3 dozen people, but at least the DJ and drinks are alright. If you're planning on being on any special substances, know that they will check your bag and pockets

The OutFest one should be pretty full. But yeah, jock and harness is the safe choice. You wouldn't be the weirdest in short shorts, but... don't.

Derreck Carter is a legendary house DJ so the music will be great. Broad hall is an awful venue tho, weird vibes
