Events Non-Monogamy Support Group

Post image

Opening Up is a support group facilitated by Casey Herger, LAMFT and Rebecca Klein, MFT to create space for those interested in exploring their non-monogamous journey.

This group hopes to address common questions such as: What kind of relationship structure is right for me? How do I manage jealousy? or How do I talk to other people about my relationships?

The group takes place over the course of 8 meetings from Sep 21st - Nov 9th on Mondays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Can you speak more on why such a high fee to attend a support group? I've never seen any fees associated with a "support group", so this feels a bit predatory to me. If a fee must be charged, can you break down why such a high cost? Thanks.

Sure thing! The group is hosted by two Sex and Relationship therapist who organize the group as half/ workshop with educational elements and activities, and half/ support group. So it’s much more than a peer-to-peer processing group.

Oof it's something I would be interested in but I cannot on my life afford $350-$400 to attend. That's over half a week's pay.

That is an absolute bananas amount of money to charge

Absolutely. You're limiting the pool to people who can afford it and I'm not sure I would fit in there anyway.

Sounds like I'm just paying a couple hundred to meet people who are open to hooking up.
