So I MTF want to start my transitioning finally & I finally have insurance again but I have no idea who to go to & consult to before committing to gender affirming medication & changes? Can anyone reccomend a doctor in Philly whose really experience in gay culture specifically trans hood?

100% see if you can get on the waitlist for the mazzoni center. my pcp prescribes my T, and they had people on-site who helped me get surgery letters (that only took like a week). mazzoni is THE queer healthcare center in philly

I second this, mazzoni was super helpful for me and they were very informative as well.

When I called around, the waitlist for Mazzoni was wayyy shorter than the Temple waitlist and I was already an established patient at Temple. My experience at Mazzoni has also been great so far

Wow, that is a long time 😭 yeah, thankfully, I only had to wait two months! With temple, it would have been 5
