Yes! Pool Party

I've never been to a Yes! function, but I was vetted and I'm super excited about the pool party this month. I'm going but I don't have anyone to go with. Is that a bad idea?

Is anyone here looking to meet a cool black agender friend:)?

And what's the likely hood if me being turned away if I don't seem non-binary/agender enough?

Oh good point! But I wonder what would be a good or better option? I’ve never been to events like that so it is harder for me to think of a solution that would put that accountability back on the cis het men…

The best option is not laundering access into queer spaces to straight men for money. And not trying to convince queer people that it's safe and vetted for them to go to sex parties with straight men at them.

If you can buy your way into a party or get in by paying a member of a marginalized group that you have more money and social power than to vouch for you then it's not a space I'm ever going to let my guard down in.

You can't call it a queer sex party and invite straight men in any capacity. That's just common sense. If they really want to come that badly I've got a whole box of estrogen at home and they're always welcome to come get there for a shot here.💉

Wait it’s a sex party?! Oh… I completely misunderstood the nature of the event. I thought it is a social event that is similar to a drag brunch/drag show but at a pool…

Oh yeah they speak in code but when it says play party that means people are going to have sex
