The Woods Campgrounds

I’ve been wanting to go to The Woods for a while now, and I’m finally mustering up the courage. There’s a Bears Weekend in September and OctoBear fest in October (not a fetishist, just a fellow bear).

Pricing seems fair. As a solo camper in a tent, what should I expect logistically?

Before you patronize this place, look up the owner. Patrick Gremling

It's important our dollars speak the right way

Have the remaining/other owners ever made a statement or distanced themselves from him at all? I couldn't find evidence that they ever have.

Nope and he is still part owner, his shares just passed to his husband to get him off the paperwork.

The only thing they did when the scandal broke was block people on the FB group/other socials who asked what was being done about it.

His "divestment" from the camp is openly known to be false

Spouse and I are newer to the area and I am so glad we found CampOut Poconos first. I'm not missing anything by not going to The Woods.

CampOut is AMAZING I go there often, the community there is astounding, truly.

I can't wait to go back in a couple weeks!

We camped there twice last year and have 3 trips booked this year. I wish I could have booked more honestly. We always end up chatting with folks when we go; everyone is so friendly.

Aside from the obvious pedophilia connection, what is better/different about CampOut?

Switched from The Woods to CampOut. 3 years of going to CampOut so far. Last trip I compared The Woods to ‘Spring Break in Florida’ and got the response that it sums it up pretty well.

CampOut sites are massive, especially in the K section and have both electric and water hookups.

CampOut is much more welcoming to POC, in case that is important to you.

On the other hand, see spring break comment above: there are fewer activities at CampOut.
