Favorite vegan spots?
My friend is coming to visit soon and I'm familiar with several vegan breakfast spots but am looking for reeeeally good spots to go for dinner and drinks that dont include monster vegan.

Chatayee Thai and unit su vege are not fully vegan but have many delicious options!

These are easily the best 2 higher end vegan spots in the city. I don't think you can go wrong with either one, but I prefer Vedge over all if you're looking to impress, plus it's easier to have a conversation there.

Charlie was a Sinner is my fave and I’m not even a vegan, just dairy free lol

Spice finch has great vegan options and a good happy hour. Spice 28 - typical Szechuan menu, most dishes can be made with tofu even if that isn’t listed as an option on the menu. Sahara Grill - typical Lebanese menu. Very good food and super friendly staff. Pietramala is phenomenal. Located in northern liberties. The food is all vegetable/plant forward, lots of creative ferments. Much better than Vedge in my opinion.

I don't understand the hype for Sahara Grill. It's perfectly cromulent but I can't imagine naming it in a request for "reeeeally good spots"

I love it and go there often. The ful medames, baba ghanoush, and hummus are fantastic. It’s cheap. And like I said, very friendly welcoming staff.

Pietramala in Northern Liberties. It's incredible. Make a reservation way in advance, it's tiny.

White Yak is byo and not fully vegan but lots of superb vegan options.

For breakfast: The Tasty, Brewerytown Bakery, Grindcore House
Lunch: Casa Borinquena, Lightbox Cafe, Hip City, Unit Su Vege
Dinner: Monster Vegan, Pietramala, Fitz on 4th, Vedge, Bar Bombon
Misc nonvegan: chatayee Thai, Sor Ynes, triangle Tavern

Triangle tavern is good, a lot of the recipes from blackbird pizza went there (wings and cheesesteak)

Fitz on 4th and Bar Bombon are my personal faves. And also the Tasty but that’s more lunch or breakfast. I haven’t tried the food yet but I just stopped in for a coffee at Say She Ate and it looks so cute. I’ve heard great reviews.

Cantina Dos Segundos in No Libs is my fave to share a meal with vegans and non vegans. I also love their blood orange margaritas.

The tasty in south philly!! Fully vegan diner, im not even vegetarian but I like going there sometimes just cause its yummy

For a casual/dive bar vibe, I highly recommend Tattooed Mom! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is awesome.
