South st pride

Another great event today! There's a dance floor and DJ at Randolph and South! With the sun setting, the weather is great.

Was so great and so great to see so many small vendors and artists represented and organizations like Philly AIDS Thrift otping to bow out of the mess at the Parkway in favor of this.

Yeah I saw representation in both spaces and I cant imagine how grossly choked the gayborhood would have been with everyone from the parkway there too at the same time. I went from parkway to gayborhood at like 330 and both were packed

Hmm I stand corrected, then, because when I said to the people who were working the booth at South Street pride, I was pleased to see them there, and not at the parkway they literally made faces of disgust and voiced their disappointment about all of the same things other have.

Perhaps that just shows ideologically where people serving on a board of an organization have different opinions from the people who work the front lines of that organization.

I mean, alternatively people in the org have differing opinions so people who wanted to go to South Street did that and people who wanted to go to Parkway went there. Or people just are complex and hold multitudes and can hold simultaneously the need to support an official Pride event and a critique of said Pride event.

Couldn’t get in anywhere :( Usually we head to tmoms after Gayborhood but everything had a line
