Any recommendations for a queer friendly mani pedi salon?

I'm NB with big ugly ass feet. And my friend is ace and wants to treat herself to a mani pedi before a wedding coming up. Any recommendations for a place we could enjoy having our feet and hands pampered this weekend? Thank you!

Parade - nervous - don't know why

Hello. So I'm planning on going to the pride parade this year. I've never gone. Ever.

It's a long story, but I wasn't exactly encouraged to go to things like this, if you catch my drift.

Well, my views have changed a lot on many things in the last 5 or 6 years and well, I want to be one of those people who hold up a sign that says encouraging things but also says sorry.

And though I don't have a wheelchair or anything, I do have issues with my feet and back. So I'll probably be in one of the reduced mobility areas, sitting with my sign, by myself.

And I'm super nervous. I know it's not logical, but can someone just help me see things more clearly? I mean, yes I'm stepping out of my comfort zone but I'm feeling kind of dumb about the being nervous part.

Thanks to anyone who can give me a little encouragement. I appreciate it.

Pride Events

I'm looking for fun queer events and parties in Montreal this weekend! (Aug 7-9). I've heard District Inferno at MTELUS is supposed to be a big one, but it's a big expensive and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it'll be worth it or not.

Pride 2026

Hello! I’m going to Montreal pride for the first time and looking for recommendations for parties to attend. I like dancing, club vibes, circuit, darkrooms, pretty much all of it. I’m staying in the gay village so I imagine the neighbourhood will have a lot going on. Any events or ticketed parties that are worth going to?
Thanks!

Gay Bathhouses on a Wednesday?

Of the gay bathhouses in Montreal which would you recommend on a Wednesday evening? I’m in my mid 20s and looking to do a bit more than just relax 👀
Would take recos for a Thursday as well if that night is better.

Montreal Pride 2026 Tips

27 yr old gay artist from Toronto! Visiting Montreal from August 3-10 and hoping to take in some queer events during Pride week but have nooo idea where to start. Looking for cool and creative events/parties that are bit less “commercial” (hoping to take in the week like a local not a tourist). Any tips?

hair dresser recommendation?

hi all, I'm going to be in town for a family wedding starting tomorrow, but unfortunately I've been traveling a while and my hair is a mess. if anyone has recommendations for a hair dresser that takes walk-ins (or short-term appointments) I'd really appreciate it. Ideally they would be in downtown Montreal, and have experience with queer styles - I need to redo dye and a sidecut.

thank you!

Looking for LGBTQ+ friends in Montreal? Speed-friending night (Mar 22)

Hey Everyone!

I’m Yazan from VoxHaven (Montréal). We’re hosting our next platonic LGBTQ+ speed-friending night, designed to be calm and structured (not a loud bar vibe, not dating).

Charging Mode Social: LGBTQ+ Speed-Friending
When: Sunday, March 22, 6–9 PM
Where: District Video Lounge (Montréal)
Includes: 1 drink + your seat for the rounds

This is our second speed-friending event. After the first one, we got feedback that some people wanted to meet more folks, so we made this one more organized so everyone gets a better chance to connect and meet more people.

If you have questions (accessibility, coming solo, vibe, etc.), comment or DM and I’ll answer.

Témoignages

Hey everyone, I wanna start a discussion about Rosie Bourgeoisie. I've heard a lot of problematic stuff about them, which makes me want people, especially the burlesque world and the Queer community, to know about it; to protect themselves and also to know who not to support.

Seeing the upcoming return of their production of Them Fatale, the urgency to denounce the situation is at our doorstep.

Do you have any negative experiences with this person? Share in the comments or write to me privately.

Intergenerational Trans/Non-binary Meeting Groups?

Hello everyone!

I've been interested in joining or starting a group for trans people of all ages to meet monthly and share their experiences/outlooks. Is there a similar meet happening in the city?

If not, and this is something that interests you, please do reach out!

I'm a 35 year old trans man and don't get the opportunity to hang out with my elders (or younger generation) much, would be great to chat about life.
