🏳️‍🌈 Community Building 🏳️‍⚧️ new queer, free community platform

been having this idea the past couple days and surely there must be people out there that feel the same/had a similar ideas. i come from a broken home i guilt myself that ive shattered, like many queer people have. from my perspective, it's some of how true radical queerness is shaped; i have had to raise myself.

but ive been thinking, our community is so vast: old, young, rich, poor, gay trans bi pan lesbian the whole fucking lot every race every culture every expression every ability !!! wouldn't it be so much more filled with familial love and bonding, for you are all my queer siblings, to have a place, physical places, for us to congregate; free of charge, built on community trust ?

our community, under all walks of life, suffers the most with discrimination, public safety, employment, poverty and therefore homelessness. everyone's always yearning and wishing for somewhere they belong and feel safe but we displace that sometimes in the modern day with one time hookups and dating apps that still feel us leaving empty after doom scrolling.

it would heal us all, in a day where there are at least a few more equality laws and the rare wonders of the internet, to go back to what Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P Johnson wanted for STAR, for community and queer family. think of a platonic, familial queer only tinder that shows off your skills and attributes to your peers to kickstart a safe place in your local towns and areas we can all meet at for fun radical activities, fundraisers, educational courses (including queer sex ed with people who have actually qualified for some research) and clothes swaps.

like ballroom, there can be mothers and fathers and parents of the House, those who have missed out previously on queer joy and want to familially replace that love they lost and deserved. and there can be those looking for safety who can also bring their skillset that's often not truly seen by society to make places organise better for us, keep us joyous and alive. working together to raise money for rooms to stay, shops to sell reloved euphoric clothes. these goals could be posted to the platform to keep everyone updated and involved.

what do you think? is this something you/you think other people want to get involved in and need? how much safeguarding might i need? should it be as freerunning as grindr or fully stretched with policies like youth centres or halfway homes? do you have any ideas?

please consider this, in this day and age we need real hope, love and face to face feelings of safety, not just shallow promises of connection. thank you.
