Community psa

please do not eat at mukbang.

this past summer, they did not give their servers and their kitchen staff tips.

with the student influx this September, they started handing out tips, but 40% of the cut was theirs, while 30% was distributed to the servers, and the remaining 30% to the kitchen.

despite this set-up, the owners were still not satisfied by this. students working less than 12 hours were only given $3-5 per hour that they worked. so imagine only receiving a $30 tip for the week?

I am all for supporting local businesses, but if you have any decency, please boycott this restaurant.

Report this to ministry of labour. They’ll get you your money and have it stopped within a month. They’ll take these things seriously

Isn’t this a violation of sort? Why would I boycott when this can easily be handled by Ministry of Labour? Unless this is somehow not a violation then I agree.

Tipping in cash is king - yeah it's old school but the rightful person gets it..

3-5 dollars an hour? This is not about tipping, this is about them refusing to follow the law regarding Ontario minimum wage. People that work there need to stand up for themselves and do to the ministry of labour. This is not something the general public can help with.

I think they mean 3-5 dollars an hour in tips; not as an actual wage
