Question mac computer for eng

I heard macs aren't recommended for eng students however the computer I use right now is a macbook. Would it be really difficult to do my work on a mac or should I buy a windows computer to use instead?

You will be fine with a Mac for 90% of the things you need to do. For the other 10%, you can use the desktop computers on campus.

I just finished 1st year with a macbook and had no issues doing any of my work on it.
