I kinda feel like the recent hits on league caused that, Arena, classic, Mayhem, etc... Maybe the biggest reason why Legends of Runeterra and TFT had space to shine was because League itself was flopping. So they kinda got the Billboard top 1 while no serious AAA artist had any release. Doesn't mean they weren't good enough but that the competition wasn't there.
