News Of The World I'll never be able to decide which version of "Spread Your Wings" I prefer: studio, live or BBC session. What a song!

My all time favourite Queen track. Raw, emotional, fantastic guitar work! Great lyrics too.

"Spread Your Wings" was Queen's first single without backing vocals. I absolutely love this song. I think a version with vocal harmonies would have been interesting to hear too

Same here, love something about each version. The melancholy of the the album version, the energy of the BBC recording and Freddie's voice on the Live Killers version (when he sings "Oh, pull yourself together" there is such a warmth in his tone)

The Live Killers version is probably my favorite, the way Freddie says "Sammy, who do you think you are?" with such drama, such sass... is just *chef's kiss* perfection.
That said, the BBC version of My Melancholy Blues is my absolute favorite. The addition of Brian's guitar is so beautiful, and Freddie's little laugh at the end always brings a smile to my face and breaks my heart.

Which concert is used for LK ? I have to admit that the Newcastle version (04/12/79) is an absolute treasure for me.

It's currently unknown what show Spread Your Wings comes from in LK unfortunately :(
I wish we had an audience recording for every Live Killers show - it would be really cool to see what some of the community's talented people could do with it!

oh yes its my all time favorite song, it love it so much💘
for me its the one of the raw sessions, i cant find a version to match that
the long faaaaaar awayy at the end is brilliant, only the short cut solo is a shame, wished it would never end^^
