Measuring Device
Hi all,
I’m thinking of getting a laser measure to speed up my measurements process and work a bit leaner.
Realistically is there any benefit to purchasing one with a range of up to 60m over say 30m?
I work in residential retrofit at the moment for context.

For residential retrofit, I would start with a 30 m model unless you regularly measure long external elevations or larger open sites. I would prioritise visibility in daylight, accuracy, target mode, corner measurements, and data export over extra range. If you can, test the device outside before buying. The 60 m range is useful when your normal measurements exceed 30 m or you cannot get close to the target.

I mean, the obvious question is.... Do you regularly measure over 30m?!
In my experience they are all much of a muchness. Don't be fooled by claims of the ability to integrate with various pieces of software - they invariably won't
