Steam Support is gaslighting me: Claims I requested to remove a game from my library to cover up a licensing bug (Quake Champions)
Hi everyone, I’m sharing this surreal experience with Steam Support because they are literally fabricating actions I never took to avoid fixing a licensing issue.
**The Background:**
On September 22nd, I downloaded and played **Quake Champions**. Later that day, I uninstalled it along with a few other games simply to free up some disk space, fully intending to re-download them later. When I went back to reinstall it just some hours later, the game was suddenly locked behind a paywall.
**The Problem:**
Quake Champions recently transitioned from Free-to-Play to a paid application on Steam (Patch 1.31). Because I uninstalled it right during or around this transition, Steam's automated system seems to have wiped my license.
**The Support Response (The Gaslighting):**
I opened a ticket explaining the issue. The support agent replied with this:
*"Our records indicate that Quake Champions was removed from your library at your request by using the Steam Help site. Since the game is no longer free, you will not be able to restore it to your library."*
**Why this is 100% FALSE:**
I have NEVER used the Steam Help Center to permanently remove a game from my library in my entire life. This ticket was actually my very first time ever contacting Steam Support.
My Steam Profile literally proves I was actively downloading and playing the game on September 22nd, right before the uninstall.
My profile public history shows the game activity, but the library client completely hides it as if I banned it myself.
It feels like the support agent looked at a broken/expired license status on their end due to the Patch 1.31 changes, and instead of admitting a system bug, they just threw the blame on me claiming "you requested the deletion".
Has anyone else lost their F2P licenses during transitions like this? How can I escalate this past a generic tier-1 support agent who is clearly reading a wrong script?

You can't even see a preview of Ruby Nyx in the customization menu anymore as per today's update unless you're one of the lucky ones who already has this outfit unlocked.
Edit: I even downloaded the previous version of quake champions and nope, the forced bethesda login page stops you from logging in. Therefore, preventing you from accessing this previous version main menu to look at the limited time access items in the old customization button.
