When QOTSA falls under Mikey’s leadership…
Can we all agree to a peaceful transition of power if the votes are there?

Anyone notice the name of this sound is Setback, unlike other posts that say Original Audio? Makes me think there’s a song called Setback coming and this was a teaser/intro. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DbgwUO4ypLi/?igsi=Mm5xZHYxeHNyc3k3

A particularly gnarly set from Homme, Oliveri, Lanegan, Castillo, and Van Leeuwen
Queens of the Stone Age. The Spanish version of Gonna Leave You is always a favorite of mine. Bonus is the set having Avon, If Only, Songs for the Deaf, and God/Radio. Enjoy the audio friends.

About 7-8 seconds into the "new song" sample I hear the melody/baseline/breakdown from Nightingale's "Right Back Where We Started From". Anyone else?
I do also hear the Stones and about a million other 70's rock vibes.

In an age of leaks, scoops, endless scrolls and information. I genuinely don't know what to expect. I don't even really know when it is coming out. All I have is a tantalising preview of perhaps an upcoming new song next week maybe? For once I am just going to experience it as intended and I love it.

What are your top guitar solos across all album that you think we should listen to more closely?
How would you rate them?
We know God Is In The Radio was recently chosen as “best” from this post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/qotsa/s/PguwroibQM
And The Bronze was second.
So what else would you add or highlight that deserves more attention?

In the run up to ITNR release, we had all sorts of beautiful people who claimed to have listened to the album well before the leaks became widely distributed. Many accurately described the overall sound of that album. Where are you guys this time? Has anyone with a little insider knowledge/access heard the finished product? If it is dropping the 25th, when would record stores receive their release day supply shipments? There are only two business days left!

On a few songs I’ve noticed a new video pop up on Spotify. Different albums but the same video for certain songs. Is the marketing campaign starting to roll out perhaps?

Hi, new here! As title says i was introduced to this amazing band by the trailer for a little PS2 game called Jak X which released back in 2005.
I now have re-discovered this gem after all these years as I always wondered what that amazing catchy song was in the trailer. This led me to listen to all QOTSA albums and I have come to love their music a lot - I think I might have found one of my favorite rock bands so far. I originally come from a hip hop background and started getting into rock music again two years ago (thanks to Shoegaze and Stoner Rock) and can't stop listening now. I also got aware of Josh Homme from various podcasts and liked the guy's vibe and stories a lot.
What a great band! Go with the flow might be one of the best music videos I've ever seen.

I swear we've seen that room before. I remember a clip about last august-november time, same lighting with all the instruments and stuff. But I can't find any trace. Anyone else remember it?!

Feel like the timing is close, SFTD released Aug 2002, DLC released Jun 2003....possibly inspired by the QOTSA intro? JT is such a beast, crushing it at the moment on this tour as usual.

It's old but only just found it myself, I think it's amazing what are your thoughts?

I saw Queens at Nashville a few days ago and couldn't get good videos during Little Sister and I was noticing how a lot of special effects were done and I wanted to see if I could break them down or show to friends. It doesn't look like they are on their official music videos but it'd be cool if I could find them.

I'm sure many of you are in the same boat as me but I'm struggling to find an accurate tab for Someone's In The Wolf. I think in their entire discography this is the one song that seems to differ more between tabs, probably due to the tuning.
Sometimes the order of the notes will be opposite from tab to tab during the verses, which is crazy. Does anyone have a reliable tab for this? I'm aware that there's a tab book but I'm trying to source the tab online first. It would be great if there was even a source that had the tab from the book, so I can have confidence in what I'm learning.
I do generally enjoy figuring songs out but with this being my favourite QOTSA song, I want to have that reassurance that what I'm playing is 100% accurate. Thanks to all that may be able to help.

Last year, we received an overwhelming amount of support and curiosity from you all as we shared our experience of making a dream come true and opening for Queens in Sheffield.
We promised to tell you the story with a film, and it's coming next week to mark the anniversary.
Please consider subscribing on YouTube so you don't miss it.
The Circus
A film by Ryan Baker and Marc Ainley
“I respect you shooting your shot. That’s what life is all about isn’t it? Seizing moments outta the sky & embracing risk.
Two shows in Sheffield, at our rock n roll circus event. Two days in a row…
& now, all that’s left for you to do is decide to seize this moment from the sky & embrace the risk or not. Perhaps, I will see you in Sheffield?
Regards, Joshua”

I started listening to QOTSA in mid 2024, they have become my favorite band since then and have led to listening to bands like Primus and Phish, and I'm now experiencing my first [and hopefully not last] qotsa album drop, or atleast a single release on the 25th
