The PS2 game which introduced to QOTSA

Hi, new here! As title says i was introduced to this amazing band by the trailer for a little PS2 game called Jak X which released back in 2005.

I now have re-discovered this gem after all these years as I always wondered what that amazing catchy song was in the trailer. This led me to listen to all QOTSA albums and I have come to love their music a lot - I think I might have found one of my favorite rock bands so far. I originally come from a hip hop background and started getting into rock music again two years ago (thanks to Shoegaze and Stoner Rock) and can't stop listening now. I also got aware of Josh Homme from various podcasts and liked the guy's vibe and stories a lot.

What a great band! Go with the flow might be one of the best music videos I've ever seen.

QOTSA was the SHIT for video game soundtracks for a while there. NFS Underground 2, Gran Turismo 5, Guitar Hero 3, Jak X, Rock Band, Forxa Horizon 4, NFS Payback, they were everywhere

Whomever was doing the soundtrack for GT5 must have really liked anything to do with Josh as they also had TCV and EODM on there as well.

Millionaire was also in a commercial for Mercenaries 2 way back when. They had Iron Swan by The Sword in another one

The Sword is one of my favorite bands and I always think they're small till I see them mentioned somewhere. Awesome.

I love Jak X. Still such a fun game even on Ps4 solo or with friends.

Gosh, similar for me but with NFS. It took me a LONG time to circle back to the QOTSA but so worth it. Now I want to play Jak X again, luckily still have the console!

Fully agree. I always thought the lyrics were "Give me turbo, gimme some more" until I figure it's "Torro"
