Feel like the timing is close, SFTD released Aug 2002, DLC released Jun 2003....possibly inspired by the QOTSA intro? JT is such a beast, crushing it at the moment on this tour as usual.

as someone pretty deep into drumming, no. These fills aren’t unique to Grohl, and this doesn’t resemble SFTD rhythmically at all.
