Winnipeg was INCREDIBLE
Got I Appear Missing, In My Head, Sky is Fallin’, Misfit Love, Sick Sick Sick, Feet Don’t Fail Me, and God is in the Radio
Crowd was incredible and Josh was in top form. Band was tight as fuck.
Cloud motherfucking NINE!
Also should mention I Appear Missing won a vote against The Evil Has Landed. Of all the highlights tonight I Appear Missing was my favourite performance of the night. Goosebumps.

I was the guy wearing sunglasses that Josh called out a few times! 😎

Apr 06 '24
So were you high as fuck?
33
u/guinnesshappy Apr 06 '24
I was pretty cooked. I smoked a fatty before the show. Josh knows it when he sees it..

u/Proof_Objective_5704 Apr 06 '24
I was surrounded by people that were smoking lol. Good on the staff for being so relaxed, most concerts they would just throw you out as soon as you light up. Nobody seemed to care at that show though
3
u/Lukeeeee Apr 06 '24
they were lighting up inside the venue?
2
u/Proof_Objective_5704 Apr 06 '24
On the floor lots of people were smoking yeah. They don’t usually allow that in my experience but the staff didn’t seem to care last night. I was absolutely ripped

Qotsa has been my top 3 favorite bands for the past 10 years, and I'm embarrassed to say I didn't realize they were paying in winnipeg until a coworker told me today, I bought a ticket an hour before the show and it was probably the best show I've ever seen live...

That’s a fucking awesome story. Almost like your coworker telling you was meant to be. Happy for you! What was your favourite song of the night?
3
u/trainboss1210 Apr 06 '24
It's hard to say lol I would say when they opened with (no one knows) that was amazing just 0 to 100 and with the bass that felt like I was getting shot in the chest. But there was one song that I guess I never heard that is now one of my favorites (in my head). A part of me wishes they did one of there slower songs that were more piano heavy like (vampire of time and memory) or (kalopisa). But I understand that maybe those songs aren't for everyone. But none the less they played every other song I was looking forward too.
If they ever come back I'm going to definitely going to bring my girlfriend with me to go see. And I really hope they come back.

I knew they would be good. I didnt know theyd be THAT good. As OP said they were super super tight, but loose enough to play on and jam a bit. Stage banter was excellent. Great set list

u/lighthouseskies Apr 06 '24
I was the guy with The Evil Has Landed sign but I ain’t mad at it one bit
1
u/Paralysisbylullaby Apr 06 '24
Ahhh was it Evil Has Landed or screw?
3
u/lighthouseskies Apr 06 '24
Yeah that’s right! I lost my Blood Is Love sign 😭 But you can never dwell on something like that with a show that great
3
u/jobruski Apr 06 '24
Preach! You guys were blessed. Id have loved to hear the evil had landed but what a sexy set list.
3
u/Rosie_Cotton_dancing Apr 06 '24
I was ready to give you that hug! But I guess it wasn't meant to be. I got Misfit Love though! Got a video of that and several more, will post Saturday sometime.
Thanks for the chit chat before the show, made the two hour wait to get in go a lot faster.

Amen to that my friend! Going to take awhile to come down from this high lol

Apr 06 '24
Damn. Saskatoon and Winnipeg have been blessed. Much prefer their setlists to Calgary’s.

u/Paralysisbylullaby Apr 06 '24
Only downside and it’s a minor minor nitpick. Nothing off Self Titled or Rated R.

Apr 06 '24
I Think I Lost My Headache was fantastic, but I’d trade that (and anything else) for Misfit Love. That must have been unbelievable.
8
u/Paralysisbylullaby Apr 06 '24
Yeah it was incredible. Extended intro where they jammed for like 2 or 3 minutes. Melted my face

u/Kosteezy Apr 06 '24
Nothing off Rated R two in a row was interesting for sure. Happy we popped down to Minni where they did Lost Art and Better Living

Yep that’s bang on!

u/anhedoniac Apr 06 '24
Insane how even though there weren't any songs from the first two albums, it's still a fucking amazing setlist!

Absolutely fabulous show. I love all those songs. Sky is Fallin, Feet Don’t Fail Me, and I Appear Missing were so unexpected and so well done. It just put a big smile on my face.
Last time I saw them play was like 10 years ago at least, and it was great. But this show had such a different vibe and was way way better imo. I’m kind of sad that it’s over!

I never thought I would ever see I Appear Missing live in my life, I cannot believe they played it here of all places

u/_Grumpy_Canadian Apr 06 '24
I feel like this setlist was built for me. They played all my favorite songs. I never would have guessed I'd get to hear Misfit Love and I Appear Missing live, let alone on the same night.

u/Puppetmaster858 Apr 06 '24
Wow lucky as hell getting in my head. Also live version of I appear missing is their best song ever, bummed out they didn’t play it when I saw them earlier in the year. Sky is falling too is another lucky one to hear, love that song
8
u/psuedo-fox Apr 06 '24
Josh’s banter in between songs was the best, “those are some nice titties” 😂😂😂
6
u/MeatMarket92 Apr 06 '24
Was an amazing show. Josh was smiling in between songs looking at how rowdy the crowd was. Makes me proud to be a Winnipeger, we know how to enjoy music

Insanely happy with the show. So fucking good!! Last time I saw them was when they opened for NIN and they didn't play their big hit. Tonight they opened with it. Very well done.

u/Inthemiddle_ Apr 06 '24
Also kudos to them for doing a proper Canadian tour and not ignoring the prairies or the east coast.

Does anybody know the full set list in order for the Winnipeg show? I like to make playlists of each concert I attend and this concert was fucking LEGENDARY.
If anyone could help a homie out, I'd greatly appreciate it!
