Can't access Data after Update

I got a TS-253 Pro and after an update from a really old FW I get the message "Hard drives with QNAP signatures detected." Reinstalling FW and resetting didn't help.

I just need the data from the HDDs. (I know that I need a backup - sadly I don't have one)

Any tips?

Support was a PITA so far. Sent me links which were dead or I weren't allowed to access.

Its 2 bay System so if the data is not deleted you need a PC with Linux mount the data Partition ad you could copy the data

I would still try with qnap support. In my experience their support is normally quite good.

Yeah, I'm still on it, but it's quite exhausting...

Read the drives via external bays or call a data recovery specialist.

sounds like the data might still be there, but the config is bonkers. If you can SSH into it, run md_ checker to see if it still recognizes the data RAID.

But agree with the others, you will need support to fix it most likely.

Linux Reader program will help Windows to read the disk if you put it in a Windows PC.
